Few random thoughts from last night's game

Kermit is about twice the coach that Martin is, and that is probably underselling Kermit. We are always going to look bad against Ole Miss because we are always going to get considerably outcoached. They don't have as good a roster as we do but it looks like they are playing a different sport than us in terms of offensive approach.
We got 2 fast break points. That means we probably aren't going to score 60 points, because if you can get us in a half court game we are extremely easy to defend and prone to taking low quality shots. If we don't get fast break points we are going to look terrible.
For a brief moment in time it appeared we were not going to waste the college career of Tilmon, but we have reverted back to that almost certainly being the case. We have the best big man in the SEC by a wide margin but he avges less than 8 shot attempts per game.
Lack of quality pg play continues to plague Cuonzo and has been the #1 weakness of each of his teams at MU.
Good to see Mark Smith get back on track a bit from a shooting perspective. He should be well rested given that he literally does not move on the offensive side of the court, every position is just him running to a particular spot on the perimeter and standing there with his arms outstretched. Fairly certain my mother could do a reasonable job of guarding him provided she had some help defense on penetration.
With such a senior oriented team, it is very frustrating that we have a complete absence of an ability to draw up any kind of play or get a basket out of a designed execution.
I guess just enjoy the rest of this season, dark times ahead after that for MU basketball.
