Afganistan has borders with Iran, Pakistan and China (a very short one with China). It is also close to Russia.

Don't believe any of the pretexts, the US military is in Afganistan because we want bases there for geopolitical purposes. Central Asia is also seen by US strategists as a key region for competition over resources and political influence.

And yes, I believe we should pull our troops out. Just wanted to clarify the real reason we are there.
