My dad swerved out of the way of a stalled car on 270 early morning before work. The car behind him didn't hitting the stalled car. The driver died. Guess who was sued? The owner of the stalled car.

You are legally responsible for maintaining the operability of your own car.

If you don't and an accident ensues, you are in trouble.
