Point by point:
- That was following the advice of counsel, the same counsel who lead UNC's defense. Had he said, "Hell no, we're fighting this" and the result were the same he'd been crucified for it.
- Third AD to have issues with EE. Ehren could get away with that when he was going 43-15 and making Super Regionals or WCWS, when you're 29-28 the same attitude isn't going to fly. If it was only Sterk we'd be in agreeance but Alden and Mack also had run-ins with EE.
- With the hole KA dug Mizzou had to give that kind of deal or they were hiring Jim Scanlon or Bob Burchard.
- No argument there
- I'll stand by what I heard, the BoC wanted an experienced head coach and spend about $3mm/year. When Sterk showed what they'd get then the parameters changed.
- Absolutely agree. Spend the minimum on everything but Football and Men's Hoops with Football as priority 1. Make sure we're Title IX compliant but nobody gets anything extra until football gets all theirs
- Again agree. He's got the same issue Choi has, at times he can't tune out the noise and ignore stuff that should be ignores.
If he leaves, he leaves. It's not the end of the world, Mizzou should be able to get someone high quality to take the job (Wren Baker). But failure is a little too strong of a word to describe his tenure.
