I never said anything or hinted at supporting student loan forgiveness or debt cancelation.
Because I don't support those things. I will say you need to get government out of backing student loans... you want to know why college is so expensive? Because the government is paying for those costs, when kids can't get out of underneath loans and you can't discharge the debt, of course lenders are going to give you a loan. They dont give a rats ass about whether or not you can pay it back. And as everyone seems to need a degree now the colleges can charge whatever they feel like, the students don't care they are 18 year olds not thinking of the mountain of debt they're accumulating for 4 or 5 years.
The only possible solutions that I can see is allowing students to discharge the debt through something like bankruptcy (might work, but would hinder our young college age crowd from being able to secure loans in the future), get government completely out of secondary education (long shot), or have government completely take over secondary education making it free for the public to attend.
Pick your poison, the current system IS broken.
