It will be the same thing Herbstreit is ****ing and moaning about except it will involve about 10 teams.
It’s college football. It’s not the NFL. That was the whole concept of a 10 or 11 game and then five weeks off to finish your academics and finals and then go to one bowl game. It was a great model and kept the nut jobs from demanding that the players be paid like professionals. The slope that Herbsteit wants to go down (and has already gone down it) is for have these guys playing 16 or 17 games by the time they’re finished into February. The old system also kept everyone, including Missouri relevant.
Fowler and Herbstreit were obsessed with this for over 20 years and now they’ve got it shoved down their throat and they’re not happy about it. They used their bully pulpit. Be careful what you wish for you just might get it.
