The way I saw it... the refs missed a common foul that allowed an undefended basket. Upon review, they saw that, but they can't take away a basket on review based on a foul that was missed (at least, that's my assumption). So, even though the foul wasn't flagrant, they called a flagrant foul because that was the closest they could come to rectifying their mistake in that it gave MU the chance to get those points back at the line and gave them possession.
