Why should FB & BB support the other sports better?

Shouldnt the other sports support themselves as much as possible and if they cant; why have that sport? You can maintain Title IX requirements and SEC requirements without pouring millions of dollars into programs that are just sink holes. As I understand, Connecticut dominated woman's basketball for almost a 10 year stretch and it never made it out of the red, so why pour money into programs if they are always going to be a sinkhole? Meet Government requirements, SEC requirements, and let it go at that. You wouldn't continue to pour money into a private industry division that constantly lost money so why do it in college sports?
