Character? I like the ancient interpretation of the concept of Jihad, that we all struggle with our courser inclinations, that by and large at times in our times we fail. But the point is the struggle to rise above that.
Your interest and time in going after me personally is pretty shallow and stupid. Allow me to share something of a guy who LIVED UP to his own standards that still impresses.
What would be the last tour of the huge machine that was Grateful Dead Productions road show their tour was impacted pretty severely by younger crowd that came in thinking that the Dead meant "you could do whatever you wanted. There was a riot in Highgate VT. There were gate crashers at Deer Creek, IN. The org wrote a letter to the fans to be signed by the band urging/telling the fan base to quit fcking around. I called it the QFA letter. Jerry Garcia would not sign it. Here were fans whose chosen actions were fcking up his world, his income, his livelihood - something he built over 30 yrs. He said no. It was not HIS place to tell others what to do. If they chose to fck with his world then that was THEIR choice, their freedom, and he would not speak against it. I found that to be some deep integrity there. Of course G was dead in a month, but that is another tale.
