I believe that if an apple falls from a tree it will hit the ground. I really, really believe it. I believe it because I am able to apply reason and logic to a set of facts, just as I've done with masks.
By your logic, Sir Isaac discovered gravity based on his feelings, and it should mandatorily apply to all things. And we all know it doesn't, don't we.
And, of course, in the process you conveniently ignore the core of my argument, which is that masks don't have to be perfect to be good, and that wearing them imposes virtually no cost.
