Americans fall into two buckets....follow authority and directly do not follow authority (and they can change those buckets depending on who is in charge....look at the whole vaccine crap going on).

So I think some refuse to wear a mask just because they are told to wear a mask...whereas others want to show they are following the group think and wear masks everywhere.

There are certainly times you cannot wear a mask...i.e. eating, drinking, heavy exercise, etc.

There are those that take advantage of the exceptions...i.e. eat very slow on an airplane so they don't have to put the mask back on.

Even in places where mask mandates are not in place, there is a lot of mask usage.

People wear different kinds of masks, both properly and unproperly.

We also have no idea what the spread would be like completely without masks and without complete social distancing..because we don't even really know the actual amount of people that have CV are..either with or without symptoms.

The only thing I know is people tend to "believe" the so called data for the option they wish to have, and very few look at anything objectively because it has become so hyper politicized.
