However last year Bannister had 27 catches for an avg of 9 yds and Knox had 19 catches for an avg of 16.2 yds. Both had 1 TD each. This year, both have roughly the same avg yds for passing, with Knox at 14 receptions and Bannister 7. However, as you noted Knox can also rush, 6 attempts averaging 7 yds per carry. Why wouldn't you just use in him the current capacity of that go-to guy which works out for him and Badie?

Bannister actually averages more yds the less you use him.
