They averaged 1 turnover in those games.
Against the Mississippi schools however, they averaged 6 turnovers.
That's 6 *times* the turnover rate against mediocre opponents, though the sample size is still small at this point.
It's worth noting...
When Odom was DC at Memphis and Missouri, he didn't have high turnover margins — even against weak opponents — which makes me question whether this has to do with Odom's coaching or one of the other new assistants on Arky's staff. Or perhaps it's just a fluke... it'll be interesting to see if their defense continues forcing turnovers at this rate against mediocre opponents, and whether they can do it against some quality teams as well.
