... read the field" is the exact opposite of what happened.

Rather than checking down to the nearest dumpoff (like Robinson) Bazelak is calm and cool in the pocket, scans all his options and throws deeper when its there.

He didn't make slow decisions, he scans the field and doesn't lock onto just one receiver the entire play.
