1) coaching staff did a really good job hiding weaknesses on the OL with window dressing and tempo
2) the LB's and secondary as a whole are as good as anyone in the league outside of Alabama
3) Mevis > McCann
4) good to see the WR's get involved in "non-traditional" ways- flat routes off of boot action, jet sweep, etc
5) If Walters can find a way to manufacture some pressure, the defense can be a top 20 defense (adjusted for SOS of course)
6) Robinson is a stud physically, excited to see what he can get done with more reps and an increased comfort level in the offense
7) Badie and Rountree are great fits for the offense. I can see Rountree playing himself into a Day 3 pick.
8) We're missing the explosive element from TE we've had the last few years (yes, I know he disappeared for half the year last year). Parker is good, he's just not as explosive and polished in the pass game.
9) Seeing the evolution of this offense is going to be interesting. I see a whole lot of Malzahn influence in the variations of tempos, but not a ton in the scheme.
Overall- Bama pulling its starters helps the optic, but a pretty encouraging start
