I asked a friend of mine, months ago, if he were president and the bubonic plague were found and tens of millions could possibly die, what would your message to the people be? Would you scream from the rooftops that we’re all going to die, or would you say that we are working to get this under control and he will be OK?
Pilots don’t get on the intercom and say, “This is the captain speaking, we have a broken johnson rod and there’s a 50-50 chance we’re all going to be dead in thirty minutes. Don’t panic, we’ll keep you posted.”
That’s the jg method.
Better, “This is the captain speaking, we have lost some Air pressure are working with the ground crew to get this squared away. Stay in your seats, it could get bumpy. Will keep you posted.“
Two ways to handle the same situation. Pick one.
