9/11 was a major terrorist attack which after was probably the last time the entire country was truly united and people were actually proud to be Americans.

Here you have a social message pushed across which a large amount of the country disagrees with (IE that America itself is systematically racist). You also have riots, looting, violence, and arson being conducted in major cities in the name of that group and in the name of that message being promoted by these leagues. There is a large difference between the aftermath of 9/11 and what is going on here.
