Part of the issue with being taught by nuns is the nuns were more into women's equality over subservience and managed to raise some independent thinkers capable of not accepting some of the bullsh*t male leaders in the church preach.

On the other hand, we've been blessed by some priests who are kind, sincere, and very well received by their congregations. One, however, didn't always toe the company line and the diocese bounced him to a much more conservative parish.
