Both parties suck

Everyone thinks they suck. Most people think one party sucks just a little less than the other one, or they think one candidate is really bad so they vote for the other one.
Trump won because he's not a politician. He aligns with Republicans because you have to pick one or the other to get elected.
People in both parties need to come to grips with this. The country is moving against both parties. And in the most anti-establishment election in history, the Democrats nominated the most establishment candidate in the party, who just happens to also have dementia and a terrible record.
Trump rolls in November.
It will never happen, but the best thing for the country would be for both parties to go away and let the 4-6 factions in the two parties become their own parties and fight it out. Things would be very different if there were 4-6 real options instead of just 2.
