It's like what most politicians do- kick the can down the road as much as possible. The Presidents/Chancellors are all at their last jobs in their careers. None want controversy, none want to be the one who lost amateur college sports forever. They want to just finish up their tenure with as few headaches as possible. So, to them it's in their best interest to punt, hope for the best, and move on. Nobody ever confronts the real problem then.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
