pride and arrogance, as NeverTrumpers consider themselves a member of the elite.
Feelings of bitter betrayal that such a crude monster as Trump could be embraced by their beloved Republican Party.
Sadness that decency and civility has been completely eradicated from the GOP.
Jealously that a knuckle-dragging buffoon is now accomplishing more than any traditional Republican ever could.
All of these things drive the NeverTrumper at once, causing a bloom of TDS that few can imagine or appreciate.
It's as if every fibre of their being cries out every second of every day to GET TRUMP!!!
Glenn Beck destroyed his entire empire over this very thing - nothing could stop him from his endless attacks until it was too late.
I imagine it's just as bad spiritually as a heroine addiction.
The best example I've seen of it in the movies is Saliere in the movie Amadeus - that pretty much nails it.
