Alzheimer's - the period when the patient is still cognizant that they are slipping and forgetting and/or drifting. they can get frustrated, angry, and they lash out.
It's after the "hiding" phase when they can get by with nods and smiles.
Watched my mother in this progression and Joe is where she was just before she had to be moved to a Memory Care Unit. Joe won't require that, as he's got resources for in-home care.
It's sad to watch, but undeniable and obvious.
