there are over 2.6 million deaths in the US per year with a wide variety of causes. Cancer, heart disease, the flu, etc.

In some of those cases, it's preventable. Why suddenly is there a passionate plea to save lives? Are those other lives "just part of the plan"?

History says there are going to be pandemics. I hope this isn't the new normal every time one comes around.
