Over 65 is 13% of the US population according the to the 2010 census.
That means that roughly 43M Americans are in that age range.
Which in turn leaves roughly 287M Americans younger than 65.
To date there have been 130K Covid deaths in the US roughly 80% over 65.
That is about 104k deaths to the 65 and older crowd.
Which leaves only 26k for those under 65.
So to this point the chances of a 65+ person doing from Covid is about 1 in 400.
But for those younger than 65 the chances so far are about 1 in 11000.
Which means if you completely ignored comorbidities this is 30 times more dangerous to the elderly than the young. comorbidities have also been proven to be a huge factor so for the young and healthy this virus is statistically harmless.
