certainly better than 10,000 new cases of a not very lethal virus.

But when comparing a large non-island landmass with 350 million people to a small island nation with 5 million people, I'm not sure what we can gather from it.

Either way, there's no reason against a broad and bold re-opening with no restrictions in the US and elsewhere.
