from non-blacks with Floyd's murder. I've been saying all along that they needed to garner support of non-blacks to really get some traction and that seems to be correct, at least as we're seeing so far in the protesting across the country and the world. Non-blacks are seeing the problem.
Now, what I would also like to see is the black community look itself in the mirror and face certain problems that have been continual and are a major source of the economic and societal disparities between blacks and non-blacks in America.
I'm talking primarily about...
* poor personal choices when it comes to nutrition, drug and alcohol abuse
* the epidemic of one parent homes
* teen pregnancy
* senseless violence in their communities
* a glorification of gangster culture
* maybe most of all, a recognition that these things can be changed within the home and within the community without the intervention of government.
I've seen black commentators speaking about Covid's insidiousness upon blacks as some sort of racial viral situation when it's just really the fact that many many blacks are really unhealthy because of the norms in their own culture.
None of these things can be discussed in America by anyone other than black people because to do so marks you as a racist, but there's a reason why blacks consistently have a lower quality of life per capita than other races and it's not necessarily racism inflicted upon them.
