Let me state it more clearly: I think he is a fraud.

White birth mom, abandoned by black father, adopted by affluent white parents in Wisconsin, moved to an affluent white community in California where he was coddled and apparently thrived, academically and athletically. Had a pretty easy life.

Had a short shelf life in the NFL - made a lot of money but was going downhill, had to remake himself as an activist of a problem that doesn't really exist except for limited cases - including, apparently, the most recent one, but not other cases that happened previously.
