special status because they only host, in theory, the content but do not control it. If they are acting as editors they should lose those protections.
That is not something they would want. Those protections keep people from seeing the tech companies for things hosted on their sites. But if they wish to control the messages then they needed to take responsibility for everything.
They are wanting to have their cake and eat it too.
