It is odd that we have a holiday to celebrate those who defend our right to vote (among other things) - but we don't make the day of voting itself a holiday.

It is a little like Christmas being THE Holiday of Holidays celebrating the human birth of Jesus and the date of his alleged resurrection kinda being a sub and hardly recognized holiday.
