at one point in history, armed black citizens marching on and occupying a capitol resulted in Republicans in California pushing for one of the strictest gun control laws in the country at the time.

Yesterday, armed white citizens marched into and occupied the Michigan capitol and there is no talk of renewed efforts of gun control.

What is different?
