Seems like a total waste of time and resources. (As if we haven’t done that already)
It’s been universally suspected since the beginning of March there are asymptomatic carriers. And now that’s been proven in small samples to be true. (Stanford recently and Denmark before them...probably in Asia before that).
Therefore, we can all conclude - as most logical thinkers assumed a month ago - the mortality rate is much lower than originally reported. It’s very serious, contagious and the death is brutal- all true. However, with a death rate as low as the flu, we don’t need to lose our minds and send everyone into a panic. Panic, inherently, is also bad for the infected. Studies have proven that as well.
We needed to flatten the curve, and now we have flattened the curve. Hospitals, thankfully, have excess capacity now and we have the logistics in place to deliver those in need the supplies they need. Phase 1–Mission accomplished. Now it’s time for the next phase!
Keep the focus and attention on our health care system and workers, PLEASE by all means necessary. The rest of us bafoons will distance, wash hands, we get it. Now open up our Country! Those who want to stay home, stay home. Those who want to ‘roll the dice’ and go about their lives, have at it.
