the test to see if you have it or don't; which is what is generally being talked about when testing is mentioned.

you could test negative for having it and then walk out of the clinic and catch it. so you're not actually getting a denominator with testing; which as I've explained countless times is inaccurate anyway b/c private labs and several states do not report negative tests at all.

there is some value in testing to be sure, but it's not the end-all to be-all that you are trying to make it out to be.
