What's 1% of 330 million you ask? 3.3 million. But the death toll would be much much higher as the death rate is tied with the quality if healthcare you receive. But that's absolute worst case.
What is going on in the US currently really hasn't happen anywhere else in the world. Meaning that the government is opening up before it has a handle on this.
Also as more and more stuff comes out of this it seems like survivors might need long term care such as dialysis. This thing seems to attack the lungs, kidneys, and liver and causing permanent damage.
Time will tell the tale.
