blocking ambulances. If someone had died because of that, I would expect involuntary manslaughter charges at the very least against the perpetrators, good intentions or not.

Gathering in large numbers at this point in time could cause other people to die or otherwise become infected, even those not at the protest. No one denies anyone's right to protest. However, the means of the protest matters, and folks should be held accountable.
