the situation. Nor would I have had the foresight to buy it up so I could sell it 1 unit per customer at a fair price to keep hoarders from putting a year's supply in their basement.

Lastly, I'm not thinking of sitting here in moral judgement on the guys who did it. There is an actual economic value they were going to provide, even if motivated by profit and not altruism.

The hoarders made the products unavailable.
