The danger following 9/11 was from physical attacks by terrorist, by human beings. This is a virus. It infects Americans, it can infect anyone. The danger is in fact much greater. The 9/11 attacks killed a few thousand people. Follow up attacks may have killed a few thousand more. This virus can kill millions. I.e. if it affects 50% of the population, that's about 165 million folks. If its mortality rate is 3%, that's 5 million dead.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
