Seeing them mention the various faded lane markings may have contributed to the incident is something I have experienced in KC I435 construction zones. In the early evening the glare from the sun hits the CURRENT lane markings as well as the OLD, painted over, lane markings where they have shifted lanes for construction. The glare on the markings makes it hard to discern which ones are the current lanes.
