Kim's problem was he inherited a young and inexperienced team because two players left early for the NBA that offseason, and the veterans that Haith intended to use to offset that vacuum in Punter and House he didn't retain. That and also he was an abysmal coach that was completely unprepared for this role and put a very low amount of effort towards, he would have failed in any scenario and under any inherited situation.
