I love Basketball. I always have. As a young boy, I would dribble the ball in the garage during snowy winters. Shot the nerf ball in my room. Shoveled the court to shoot baskets.
I worked on my skills. Learned to play different positions. I enjoyed the athletic challenges of basketball. The work it took to win another game, to keep playing and advancing. Having played a few hours, despite feeling worn and sore, I felt great.
Growing up, I enjoyed seeing college and NBA players. Among the pro players, there were 3 main eras for me. The Magic & Bird era. The Jordan & Olajuwon era. The Kobe & Shaq era.
Each player brought something different, and memorable. Yesterday, a part of me faded.
