I can't remember everything that was going on but we only stood a chance with candidates who liked our location and even then we were going to have to overpay to land them.
Add the AD disarray to Illini wanting CM badly and we were forced into paying way too much.
I can't really blame sterk for it. CM was his guy and his only guy he wanted. He did what it took to land him.
I only blame sterk, myself, Mizzou, etc. for thinking we were going to offer CM resources his previous stops couldn't that would make him a better coach. It sucks CM appears to be the worst at Mizzou. I would take that to mean we are a worse job than Cal and Tenn and that just fuggin sucks donkey junk.
