and then at every turn in the broadcast promote "skipping" the games for the players. I thought the announcers were going to cry when that Alabama receiver went down for a few minutes in the Citrus Bowl.
Someone has to explain to me what difference it would make if a highly rated player was hurt in the regular season, a bowl game or a playoff game. They never quite explain the difference. Either way it's all for "old state U" and they aren't getting "paid" like ESPN wants them to get paid. Their NFL careers and bonus money would still be ruined whether it was CFB "playoff" game or not.
The only possible logic I see is they eventually see a complete NFL lite with college players getting paid hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars and playoffs extending into late January and beyond.
