I believe this is another case where a player isn’t playing a lot, and doesn’t see a path to things improving in that regard. I believe that was the issue with Grace Berg too.
Brittany has been competing in practice with the Williams girl who is 6’4, and has two years eligibility remaining. Also, next year Jayla Kelly is arriving as a 6’3 post player. Linthacum will be eligible and healthy next year, so more competition.
There’s likely two more Linthacum sisters on their way to Mizzou also. One is a junior in high school, and the other is a freshman. They are both inside players. The freshman is possibly the best one of all. She is 6’4 and has a good inside, and perimeter game already. The junior I believe is 6’2, and handles the ball very well. I think she’s going to be a good power forward type.
I still think another guard will be important for our recruiting for help next season.
