Cuonzo specifically mentioned the racial protests on campus when he was hired. I guarantee that was on the minds of everybody else Missouri would have tried to hire and is a major factor in the sweet contract Cuonzo got. No guarantee any of the coaches you mentioned would have taken the Missouri job.

Fans are ambivalent about the SEC opponents. Actual attendance is poor. Hard to recruit in that environment and coaches know that.

You overestimate how attractive the Missouri coaching job is.
