No Odom was not handed a bowl of Crap at all. He was gifted 9 players from a top 10 defense...He made it crap because he serviced his system over his talent. A JR high coaching mistake.

He should of bowled his first year because Coach Heupel fixed the Offense and made it serviceable,clearly enough talent left by GP to score points. All Odom had to do was not change his Defense and we win at least 6 or 7, in his first year.

He does that and he has good will around the State, is hailed as a hero and his recruiting and tenure as a HC takes off to the Stars.

But Odom was a hot mess of Hubris who junked GP system and what he had built, then he lied to the media and blamed GP for the disaster he created and acted like he took over a dumpster fire program when that clearly was not the case. Odom was a Horrible hire..and I was dead wrong on that because he was the guy I wanted.

I could list and List all the things Odom did wrong...but I suspect you know that he was below average at most aspects of his job.
