LSU. He was weighing Mizzou vs. his current job and immediate job prospects.
LSU, Florida, A&M, and Alabama weren’t offering him a job. Three of those four schools aren’t even on our schedule more than once every six years anyway (once every 12 that we’d have to play at their place).
He’s been at Faurot Field when we’re at our peak and knows what we’re capable of. He coached at App State at their peak and knows what they’re capable of, as well. I don’t see how any other school that wasn’t offering him a job is at all relevant. Mizzou offers a better opportunity for success than his previous employer, so leaving didn’t take a lot of thought.
