Overall: disappointing, obviously, I made it to 5 games this year, we were 3-2 in those games but I enjoyed them all.
Injuries derailed a season, along with a joke from the NCAA, that could've been a good one.
Odom - I fully expect Odom to be fired by the beginning of the week, and likely by Monday morning. Personally, I think Odom was a good defensive coach, who struggled to recruit talent. But, he worked hard and with integrity. Took over an absolute nightmare situation in 2015. I have a lot of respect for him for that.
In the end though, he under achieved, his recruiting was very meh, and those will lead to him being fired. I appreciate him doing what he could do, but I don't believe he's a D1, P5 HC just yet... Needs more time. He will land on his feet and be good. Great guy, represents the University well, just missing that last 5-10% of what it means to be a P5 HC.
Kelly Bryant - great kid, avg QB when healthy, not good when injured. But, I'm happy he chose Mizzou and was a class guy. Wish it would've turned out better but no one could argue he wasn't 100% giving what he had, even it was below average skill wise.
Looking forward:
- personally, hoping for a pinkel comeback. If they truly did get rid of Odom, there's no one better than pinkel to come in (that we can actually get)
-future is bright at QB
-boring, but easy home schedule next year, can't wait
Finally: **** Mack Rhoades - I truly believe he told rhule he was going to Baylor and would hire him there. I don't think they did much of a real coaching search... But again mad respect to Odom for coming in and cleaning it up. Pinkel should've stayed one more year and did the dirty work, but he didn't.
