running players off sometimes was these four year players coming in as freshmen and two year juco players. From like the mid-80s to mid 90s there were a ton of guys like that - Booker, Smith, Peeler, Jamal Coleman, Buntin, Sandbothe, Mark Atkins, O'Liney. Mike Anderson kind of got us back to that for awhile with his guys.

That's what's needed but it's harder today to sustain it. Even now you are worried about a freshman already leaving that hasn't played much in these first few games. These guys just don't stick around. Much harder to get the rotations set and other coaching issues IMO.
