My understanding of Tiger AD finances is:
1. Mizzou forfeited its last Big XII conference distribution as a penalty for leaving the Big XII. That produced a 16.5 million deficit for the Athletic Department. The University covered the deficit and the AD agreed to repay it.
2. Memorial stadium underwent roughly 50 million in renovations in the first year or two in the SEC. Again, the University covered that amount by issuing bonds for which it is liable.
3. The South End Zone renovation has a 98 million price tag. The last publicly announced results of the fund raising effort for it was about 50 million. The Board of Curators authorized the University to issue bonds to cover the balance, up to 55 million.
4. The Tiger FB budget was about 15 million for the last year in the Big XII. it's now in the 22 to 23 million range.
5. Overall, the AD has been operating at a 2 to 3 million dollar deficit each year for several years.
