Odom has nothing to do w/ it. It's a state 'culture' problem

For whatever reason, college football is simply not a big deal in the state of Missouri. It is a sad situation, especially for the players & the coaches who have to recruit kids to come play in front of barely 50k folks who are half old silver-hairs who sit the whole time, and half flabby community-college looking dorks wearing theater make-up. No pageantry, no sparkle, nothing intimidating to the opponents. Bland, average dreck.
And because it's cultural, this won't change anytime soon. If the AD treated it like a red alert emergency & pulled out all stops, maybe it changes sooner but I just don't see any sense of urgency. It appears as though they are hoping it just eventually changes on it's own.
