1. We have 13 scholarships to give in any given year, and at least three of those will not be a regular part of the rotation.

2. Positionless basketball doesn’t negate the occasional need for a traditional center, nor does a traditional center existing on the roster change what the other players are instructed to do.

3. Virtually every team that has successfully taken a positionless approach still makes room for a traditional center, both in the NBA and in college.
